I hope this information will help current or future clients get to know me a little better. I am currently working with the counseling team at LCC to pursue my license in professional counseling.
In 2002 I received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Charleston Southern University in Charleston, South Carolina. While at Charleston Southern University, I was an active member of Psi Chi National Honor Society. I then received my Master of Arts in 2008 from Colorado Christian University in counseling. During this program, I conducted research that was presented at the Rocky Mountain Psychological Association Conference in 2008.
In the past I have counseled with male juvenile sex offenders in a residential treatment center in Virginia. In addition, I counseled for Denver Rescue Mission at the Crossing campus. I primarily worked with residents of the program dealing with homelessness, addiction, mental illness, and family issues. While working with this organization, I did extensive treatment planning for my clients to ensure the most optimal rehabilitation. Other areas of my counseling experience include: Bi-polar disorder, infertility, spirituality, and relationship issues.
I look forward to working with you! Please feel free to contact me with any further questions you may have.
