Angie Hamp, MC

Angie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Counseling/Psychology in 1996 from Southwestern Assemblies of God University.  She earned a Master of Counseling with a specialization in community counseling degree in 2003 from University of Phoenix. Angie completed her internship hours at Eagles Nest Counseling in Colorado Springs, Colorado where she worked with all ages ranging from young children to elderly individuals. She is currently working toward her licensure in counseling, and is under the supervision of a Licensed Professional Counselor. 

Angie’s areas of specialty include: women’s issues, adolescents, marital issues, adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, infertility, miscarriage, grief and loss, depression and anxiety. She facilitates groups for women who are adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. She has also developed a fun-filled six week Marriage Tune Up for couples, that equips them with effective communication skills.  

Angie is a sought after conference and seminar speaker addressing such topics as: depression and anxiety, self-esteem in women and adolescent girls, identity, discovering what makes you uniquely you, and overcoming life’s challenges  She is a masterful story-teller captivating her audience through the use of drama and humor.  

Angie is a Faculty Member in the Social Sciences Department at University of Phoenix.  She enjoys interacting with her students and guiding them in their journey to becoming mental health professionals.
